Video game graphics and hardware seem to get better every single year. However, some games truly stand out among the crowd thanks to incredible artwork and cutting-edge technology. In this article, we’ll take a look at some of the titles that I consider to be the best looking video games that you can play right now.

Battlefield 5

Despite releasing almost five years ago, Battlefield 5's incredible environmental detail, RTX reflections, and beautiful locations make it stand out as one of the best looking multiplayer shooters around. Teaming up with Nvidia, DICE pushed this game to the limit of what was possible in a multiplayer shooter at the time, and arguably beyond what wasn't possible when BF5 first launched with ray tracing enabled.

Thanks to some major optimizations and faster video cards, the game is now very playable with maxed out settings and is simply breathtaking. From the golden fields of Arras to the rubble of Devastation, Battlefield 5 shows off DICE's artistry and confidence when tasked with crafting different environments. Not only do all of these maps look stunning, but they also behave realistically with destruction, footprints in mud and snow, and things catching on fire in a believable way.

Combine that with solid gameplay and amazing sound design to back up the visuals, and it's no mystery why BF5 still has an active player base many years later.

Microsoft Flight Simulator

Sometimes the best visuals are seen from a bird's eye view, and Microsoft Flight Simulator delivers these views with unparalleled realism. This game has become the benchmark that all flight sims will be judged against for years to come regarding their visual presentation.

The fact that MSFS simulates the entire planet with graphics and detail that have only been getting better after each update is a remarkable accomplishment. Flying into the outer stretches of Hurricane Laura a couple years ago, which was based on real-life weather conditions, was one of the most jaw-dropping gaming experiences I've had.
